Asia Biogas Group is set to build a 2MW biogas plant in Thailand for Pupanich Palm Oil.

Citing Asia Biogas’ e-mailed statement Bloomberg reported that the electricity generated from the plant will be sold to Thailand’s Provincial Electricity Authority.

The plant will turn waste into power and construction work on the facility is expected to start after securing regulatory approvals.

Asia Biogas chief executive officer Desmond Godson was quoted by Bloomberg as saying that, "The biogas sector has a great deal to offer palm oil mill owners as we can not only treat their wastes but produce usable energy and compost in a sustainable manner."

Asia Biogas designs, builds, finances and operates clean energy projects that depend on renewable resources to generate energy.

The company generates energy from biomass and agro-industrial wastewater via a suit of technologies including bio-digestion, gasification and combustion.
