Ashwill Associates has represented Albiasa, a developer and supplier of advanced solar thermal technology, in leasing 793 acres for a solar power generating facility in Riverside county, Southern California and 1,120 acres in Graham county, Arizona.

According to Ashwill, the two solar power plants totaling 40MW (20MW + 20MW) of PV solar power will come up at the locations. These projects come after the Arizona department of commerce and Albiasa revealed a $1bn concentrated solar power plant (CSP) that is planned to be operational in the Kingman area in 2013.

Terms for the Southern California and Arizona projects consist of 30-year leases or outright purchases from the land owner. The 1,120 acre Arizona project comes from a failed residential development that was taken back by a bank.

Jesse Tippett, managing director of Albiasa, said: “Even in these difficult economic times, Albiasa continues to find financial and business partnerships like Ashwill that greatly add value to our projects.”

Ashwill Associates is a commercial real estate brokerage firm located in Newport Beach, California, while Albiasa is a vertically integrated CSP plant developer, having operational stand alone PV facilities operating in Spain and implements utility scale PV farms.
