The Association of State Dam Safety Officials (ASDSO) in
the US has selected Schnabel Engineering Associates as
winner of the National Rehab- ilitation Project of the Year
for 2000.
Schnabel was recognised for designing a rehabilitation pro- ject for the Rivanna Water & Sewer Authority. The work involved upgrading the 53-year-old Sugar Hollow concrete gravity dam and will improve water storage capacity for Charlottesville, Virginia.
Each year ASDSO presents the award to recognise the use of technology, creativity and economy in the rehabilitation of dams in the US and globally.
