The company is drilling the two wells in the Ellerslie oil prospects situated on its 100% owned and operated property.
Aroway has plans to spud the well to a depth of about 1,130m, which upon completion, will be tied-in to the existing nearby infrastructure.
The company has selected the prospects from the data interpretation of the 3D seismic and estimated the prospects to be in prospective oil fairway. An offsetting pool has produced over 1.39 million barrels of light 38 degree API oil.
Aroway Energy president & CEO Chris Cooper said, "We are confident that our initial two wells at Kirkpatrick Lake will add immediate and significant oil production as we close in on our year end production target."
The company will drill three more wells, if the initial test of the wells proves successful.
