Currently, the venture, also known as Arkolia-Umawa Ghana, is looking to construct a biogas plant in the Ashanti regional capital, Kumasi, GhanaWeb reported.
Arkolia-Umawa Ghana chairman Alain Planchot said Arkolia-Umawa Ghana is committed to plan to construct the biogas plant in Kumasi, also known as the Garden City.
Planchot said that constructing would begin in January 2015 if Ghana’s energy sector authorities complement their drive and commitment to the project.
Umawa Ghana Limited official said, "If there is anything that Ghana needs at this moment, it is the biogas plant because currently we have challenges with both solid waste management and reliable energy."
