According to the deal, AREVA will build two CSP plants each with a capacity of 125MW using its compact linear Fresnel reflector technology.
AREVA Solar will also provide construction management services for the project to located in Rajasthan.
The first phase of the solar project is under construction, with a target commercial operation date of May 2013.
The project will result in the avoidance of about 557,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year compared to a similar sized coal-fired power plant.
