The latest service, which is called ERVATM, would help to integrate replacement parts no longer needed of decommissioned plants, in other still operating plants.

ERVATM will support the customer with qualification processes or component reengineering, in addition to providing equipment, replacement parts and validation.

The company said the first international ERVATM order was completed for the Trillo nuclear power plant in Spain which used a required spare part from a German plant.

Areva Installed Base activities executive vice president Philippe Samama said, "With ERVATM, the group has developed an innovative service solution, which aims to juggle the multiple equipment requirements of the different markets to offer nuclear operators fast and cost-effective access to a vast range of new and replacement parts."
