Aquatech has secured an order for a demineralizing plant for IBN Rushd in Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

IBN Rushd is a Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corp affiliate petrochemical facility.

Aquatech will supply a mixed bed demineralizer of 130 cubic meters per hour capacity for the plant, which will treat desalinated water and convert it into demineralized water for downstream use as boiler feed water.

The treated water will have 0.1 Msiem/cm conductivity, and silica levels of less than 0.1ppm.

The plant is expected to be completed around early 2013.

Aquatech said it has also worked with several SABIC affiliates, including United Petrochemicals, PetroKemya and Sharq.

US-based Aquatech is a provider of water purification technology for industrial and infrastructure markets.
