The RFP for photovoltaic seeks projects between 15MW and 50MW. APS hopes to procure approximately 220,000MWh annually from this solicitation. Respondents are required to provide proposals for long-term power purchase agreements and/or turn-key (developer-built with APS purchasing the project when completed) agreements, the company said.
The solicitation for Arizona-based wind seeks projects between 15MW and 100MW located entirely within Arizona. As with the solar RFP, respondents are required to provide proposals for long-term power purchase and/or turn-key agreements.
Both RFPs are part of the recent Arizona Corporation Commission-approved, and broadly supported rate settlement agreement signed by APS and 21 other parties.
With headquarters in Phoenix, APS is the principal subsidiary of Pinnacle West Capital.
