Nearly 30 mirrors of the Samar plant have now been replaced with 50 new mirrors having lighter and easier-to-control configuration.
AORA Solar CEO, Zev Rosenzweig, told CleanTechnica that the company’s Tulip solar-hybrid system provides continuous power generation with scope for expansion in line with the demand in future.
"Tulip has unique capabilities that allow it to function in ways that are both effective and game-changing," Rosenzweig said.
Hybrid Tulip System uses a gas turbine that burns a variety of fuels such as biogas, biodiesel and natural gas, using a gas turbine during non-sun hours to produce continuous electricity.
The company is using its Spanish demonstration unit in Almeria for Samar plant’s re-commissioning works.
Samar plant, which according to Rosenzweig is a take-off from Almeria site featuring 52 mirrors, will produce 100KW of electricity alongside generating 170KW of thermal energy enough to power secondary processes including desalination and large-scale air conditioning.
AORA Solar has joined hands with an outside biogas expert to develop a biogas demonstration in Italy over the next six to nine months, the website reported.
