Initial subcontract was awarded in 2014 and now it has been increased to include further painting, surface protection, fireproofing and insulation works for the onshore facilities near Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.

AusGroup CEO Shane Kimpton said “We are very pleased to be able to continue our work on the Ichthys Project Onshore LNG Facilities, providing quality services to the LNG construction sector.

This AU$165 million contract extension supports increased job opportunities as well as community and economic development for the region.”

The Ichthys LNG Project is a Joint Venture between INPEX group companies (the Operator), major partner Total, CPC Corporation Taiwan and the Australian subsidiaries of Tokyo Gas, Osaka Gas, Kansai Electric Power, JERA and Toho Gas.
