Under the terms of the contract, the company will oversee engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of a transmission system capable of delivering 220MW of power.
Converter valves and MACH2 advanced control and protection system will also be supplied as part of the turnkey solution.

The Oklaunion HVDC transmission link is an asynchronous interconnection between Southwest Power Pool grids in Oklahoma and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas.
The new system is expected to be operational in 2014; the existing converter station will continue working during the construction period.
