Amec said it will be the design company for the newly completed terminal, providing it with the necessary engineering support to ensure round-the-clock delivery of gas into the national transmission system.
Amec’s scope of work includes engineering conceptual design, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and project management services. The company will be working in collaboration with Black and Veatch, with whom it has a strategic partnering agreement and who will provide specialist LNG knowledge.
Neil Bruce, chief operating officer of Natural Resources and Power & Process division at Amec, said: “This is a significant award for Amec and gives us the opportunity to build on our existing LNG experience while delivering reliability, efficiency and excellence for our client.
