UK-based international engineering and project management company AMEC has won a two year contract extension from BG Group to support its facilities in the central North Sea.
Under the GBP110m contract extension, AMEC will continue to provide engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and project management services for BG’s facilities situated in North Sea.
The extended contract will now run through 2015.
AMEC Europe brownfield business managing director Alan Johnstone said since 2006 the company has been supporting BG Group with brownfield engineering and construction services.
"We look forward to another two years of delivery for BG Group and the North Sea," Johnstone added.
Under the original contract, AMEC had completed numerous projects, including two subsea tie backs from the Gaupe, North West Seymour wells and topside modification of the Armada platform amd North Everest platform and a subsea tie back as part of the Everest East expansion.
