Under the EUR120m contract, the company will provide maintenance services for five Alstom GT13E2 gas turbines installed at the combined-cycle power plant over the next seven years.
Alstom will also supply parts and equipments required for the performance of all the scheduled inspections on five gas turbines.
In addition, the company will supply all the necessary craft labour, as well as on-site technical field advisors.
As per the contractual terms, Alstom will also deliver two additional upgrade packages, based on the successful validation of the first upgrade installed in February 2012 on a single turbine at the same power station.
Centrica Energy South Humber Bank plant manager Tony Lyon said the services will improve the efficiency and output of the combined-cycle plant.
"The plant efficiency gain will allow us to reduce our fuel costs and CO2 emissions," Lyon added.
Alstom Thermal Services senior vice president Hans-Peter Meer said the upgrade represents one of the most significant service innovations for the installed fleet.
"It helps our customers to increase the competitiveness of their power generation assets by increasing plant performance and reducing operation costs," Meer added.
