The scope of the contract includes a complete HP turbine retrofit covering engineering, manufacturing and transportation of the new HP module, as well as disassembly of the old module and erection and commissioning of the new module.
The Toppila power plant, which produces electricity and district heating from wood and peat, includes two units with a total generating capacity of 210MW of electricity and 340MWth of district heating.
ABB will perform the replacement work at the plant site in July 2012 in a span of 35 days.
