Alstom has announced plans to launch its first hydro service training center totally dedicated to customers and partners at its Taubaté unit in São Paulo, Brazil.

Alstom has announced plans to launch its first hydro service training center totally dedicated to customers and partners at its Taubaté unit in São Paulo, Brazil.

In a statement the company said the initiative is aimed at promoting qualification for professionals in the power generation market, as well as strengthening Alstom’s relationship with customers and partners.

Training sessions may have the content defined by Alstom or be customized according to the needs of the participant. The first training is to be offered in May 2014, with the plan for up to 100 people to be trained each month.

Since 2013, Alstom has begun to focus its activities on services for hydro plants, creating a dedicated structure of personnel, processes and portfolio, to meet the high level requirements of this market.

"With this, Alstom adds to its already known high quality in the execution of projects and supply of equipment for new plants, the agility and speed necessary to operate in the service market", said Cornelis Poel, Project Manager Hydro Service.
