Under the agreement, the firm will manage the overall turnkey project, including installation and commissioning of double busbar 110kV gas-insulated substations and two power transformers.
The company will also supply of AC/DC auxiliary switchboards, telecommunication equipment and energy measurement system, in addition to overseeing cabling and commissioning works.
Alstom will build the substation within the city limits of Lubin for this project under the contract worth €7m. The project will be commissioned in March 2014.
Alstom Grid Poland managing director Michal Golasz remarked that the latest contract marks the fifth gas-insulated substation project awarded by Tauron Dystrybucja to Alstom in Poland.
