As per the deals, each worth about EUR5m, Alstom Grid will manage the delivery and supervision of construction and commissioning of the 110kV and 220kV gas-insulated switchgear, including local control cubicles.
The 220kV GIS includes a double-busbar and two switchgear sections with ten circuit breakers bays and is equipped with a maintenance insulating device.
The 110kV F35 substation includes 17 gas-insulated bays with 3-BB (busbars).
The 220kV gas-insulated switchgear is expected to be commissioned in summer 2014, while the 110kV substation is planned for spring 2015.
Alstom said all of the switchgear equipment will be manufactured in France, Switzerland and Poland.
The Kopanina project is owned by PSE, which offers electricity transmission services for the Polish power system.
According to Alstom, the Kopanina substations are the access point for generator units of the Laziska Power Plant, owned by Tauron Wytwarzanie, and an important supply point for the Silesia region, south-east Poland.
The projects are part of EUR2.4bn Polish Power Grid investment program, which is intended at increasing the safety and reliability of electrical energy transmission across the country.
As part of the plan, PSE intends to build a 10,400kV transmission line, four 220kV transmission lines, ten substations, and expand 39 power stations.
