The system will be delivered for the largest part of Companhia Hidroelétrica do São Francisco’s (CHESF) network, which includes 42 substations and three regional operation centers in northeast Brazil.
CHESF will use the system to streamline data transmission and optimize network performance.
The scope of the contract includes the delivery, integration, testing, site installation, trial and warranty of the system.
Alstom Grid will undertake enterprise applications like day-to-day business operations, and provide mission-critical services.
The new data transmission system will optimize grid management in real-time for stable power delivery.

Alstom employs 93,000 people in about 100 countries and the country generated sales of more than €20bn and booked €21.5bn in orders in 2013/14.
