According to the MoU, both the firms will work together to develop two CCS demonstration projects located in Daqing and Dongying.
At Daqing oil field, the 350MW coal-fired power plant will be equipped with Alstom’s oxy-firing technology and at the Dongying oil field the 1000 MW coal-fired power plant will adopt one of Alstom’s carbon capture technologies.
On completion, the two CCS demonstration projects will each be able to capture above 1,000,000 metric tons of CO2 annually.
