The company produces jet fuel, diesel and high-octane gasoline from renewable sources such as plant oils or animal fats and will now build a demonstration scale facility with annual capacity of 500,000 gallons per annum.

AliphaJet will raise $4m-$5m to build and operate the demonstration facility which is expected to be completed and operational in the next 12 months.

It will then build a full scale commercial production facility once the demonstration facility is operational.

The company, additionally announced, its membership into the Advanced Biofuels Association.
