The facility now covers an area of 70,000sqft to increase the production line capability for existing and upcoming commercial production programs.
The center is the Company’s algae-to-transport fuel development and manufacturing hub for the USA, Asia and Europe.
Algae.Tec has signed a collaboration contract with Sri Lanka subsidiary of cement and building materials company, Holcim to construct its first algae bio-fuels production facility in Sri Lanka.
It also signed a contract with bio-fuels MOU with the European airline Lufthansa.
Algae.Tec executive chairman Roger Stroud said the Algae Development & Manufacturing Center team recently shipped its first algae bioreactors to the Australian Shoalhaven One biofuels production and carbon capture facility south of Sydney.
"Algae.Tec also offers a profitable solution for carbon emitting companies and industries seeking carbon dioxide reduction technologies," added Stroud.
