Drilling operation, initiated on 26 September 2012, completed a total of 66 core holes and the results from nine stratigraphic holes have been compiled.
Samples were shipped to ALS Minerals in Elko, Nevada and analyzed for graphitic carbon (Cg) by the LECO method.
An additional three stratigraphic holes and 21 of the grid holes have been processed and are currently undergoing analysis.
The company expects complete assay results of the final 33 grid holes by the end of February.
Alabama Graphite CEO Daniel Spine said that the Coosa graphite project was acquired less than five months ago and this drill program was completed in record time.
"While these drill results are an essential first step, our next hurdle is to process the samples and establish a resource that we can report.
"We intend to pursue this with the same determination that has gotten us this far, this quickly," Spine added.
