Mr Borge, has previously been the chief financial officer of Aker Yards since 2002. He has also served as the chief financial officer of the firms Zenitel, Stento and Vitana, a subsidiary of Rieber & Son in the Czech Republic.
Aker stated that Mr Borge would succeed Bjorn Naess at the end of the financial year 2007. Mr Naess has been appointed as the chief financial officer of Norwegian financial services firm DnB NOR.
