The electricity generated by the facility will be sold to California utilities under the state’s power purchase agreement for small renewable generation feed-in tariffs program.
Folium’s plans to undertake ground mount installations at 710 different solar distributed generation sites located in 35 different counties throughout California.
Installations of solar modules will commence in the fourth quarter of this year and is projected to be completed in one year.
Folium Energy Operations vice president Brad Stutzman said the projects will be broken into phases based on the pre-construction development work required at each site.
"The first phase of the project will total 15MW of power with development activities beginning immediately," Stutzman said.
