Global services and technology company AGR's Australian arm has won a contract from Hunt Oil to provide project management services to drill an exploration well offshore north Western Australia.

Scope of the contract calls for providing complete management, including drilling engineering, planning, procurement, regulatory requirements and operational support, of the well situated in permit WA-425-P.

Commenting on the partnership AGR Regional general manager Bruce Roebuck said the company is looking forward to closely work with key Hunt Oil personnel in planning and execution of the well.

"We are proud to have been chosen as a partner for Hunt Oil in their first ever operation in Australian waters," Roebuck added.

Hunt Oil said it plans to deploy semi-submersible Stena Clyde for the proposed drilling work, which is expected to commence between the fourth quarter of 2013 and the first quarter of 2014.
