The new 50/50 joint-venture, Southeast LNG Distribution Company, plans to own and operate a fleet of LNG-fueled tankers and distribution facilities for supporting the use of LNG as a fuel source for this emerging market segment.
John Somerhalder II, chairman, president and CEO of AGL Resources, said: “This partnership with El Paso will play an important role in expanding the availability of clean-burning, low-cost natural gas as an alternative to diesel fuel for heavy-duty fleet use – including long-haul trucking.

Southeast LNG plans to provide distribution facilities and gas supply contracts to both the private and public sectors as the market develops.
