Agility’s new acquisitions specialize in the transportation of oilfield tubulars and related exploration and drilling equipments. They also provide a broad range of international freight forwarding services between South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the US.
Agility said that the deal will strengthen its project forwarding capability in the region, particularly in the oil and gas sector, in which Synergy is well established.
The acquisition of Synergy will also include its Batam, Indonesia-based subsidiary, PT Synergy Indonesia. The company operates its own tugs and barges, as well as a fleet of transportation equipment in Batam, and has plans to expand further in the marine and projects sectors.
According to Agility, the Synergy companies will benefit from its global presence in more than 100 countries and its network capabilities, providing customers with end-to-end services through a single logistics services provider.
