AEG Power Solutions will provide it’s the rectifier solution for the hydrogen electrolyser of the hybrid power generation plant in Germany.
The hybrid power plant has been designed by ENERTRAG, a renewable power generation company.
The plant stores the energy produced by wind mills and will re-inject it into the grid making it available when required.
In addition, the hydrogen will be made available on fuel stations for vehicles.
AEG Power Solutions rectifier will be connected between the wind generator and the high efficiency electrolyser to supply a tight regulated direct current to the electrolyser.
The technology platform used will be directly derived from power control systems used in the polysilicon manufacturing process.
The installation will be complete in September 2011.
