The PV installation comprises four individual sites, each divided into multiple sub-sites, and a mix of rooftop, ground, and carport installations.

AEG Power has provided solar inverters for the project, while skytron energy provided a complete monitoring, control and supervision package including the PVGuard control room platform.

The AEG solution included Protect PV.500 inverters and MPV.Systems and these optimizations coupled with advanced inverter design and no transformer losses yield efficiencies of up to 98%.

The PV.500 inverters feature power stacks with advanced measuring and control technology to enable DC input voltages of up to 1,000VDC, while MPV.Systems featuring transformer-less modular design allows up to five inverter modules to be turned on as needed to match the solar power available, AEG Power claims.

skytron claims that the PVGuard software integrates all sites into an unique visualization platform and the installed system incorporates intelligent string combiner boxes, data loggers, weather and irradiation sensors, and a central power plant controller.

PPA Partners CEO Bruce Mercy said that AEG Power and skytron have jointly delivered the highly complex installation from the design to the final grid connection.
