The company has purchased 100% interest in Western Region Transmission Maharashtra (WRTM) and Western Region Transmission Gujarat (WRTG), which hold operational transmission lines incorporating 3063 ckt kms.
WRTM project is comprised of 2089 Ckt-km of transmission lines, while WRTG project includes 974 Cktkm of transmission line.
WRTM is operational since January 2014, while WRTG is operational since December 2015.
WRTM tansmisssion lines include 400 kV D/C line between Pune and Aurangabad, 400 kV D/C line between Solapur and Kolhapur, 400 kV D/C line between Solapur and Parli, , 400 kV D/C line between Parli and Pune and others.
WRTG tansmisssion lines comprised of 400 kV D/C line between Limbdi and Vadavi, 400 kV D/C line between Vadavi and Kansari , as well as 400 kV D/C line between Rajgarh and Karamsad and associated assets.
With the completion of the deal, the cumulative network of ATL will increase to around 11350 ckt kms, of which 9000 ckt kms are under operation and around 2350 ckt kms under various stages of construction.
ATL’s assets also comprised of 28 substations with around 16,200 MVA of transformation capacity across the country.
The company recently signed a period of exclusivity deal with R-Infra, which is valid up to 15 January 2018.
It will allow to carry out discussions for the proposed acquisition of the integrated business of generation, transmission, distribution and retail of power for Mumbai City.
