The company will build the hybrid solar-gas technology based, 716 LT CC Agua Prieta II project in the town of Agua Prieta, in the state of Sonora.
The Mexican Federal Electricity Commission promoted the construction of this solar plant aided by the global environment facility of the United Nations Development Program.
Acording to the terms of the contract, Abengoa will oversee the engineering, design, construction and start-up of the two transmission lines, and three substations.
The two transmission lines would stretch over an area of 82.6km.
