ABB, a provider of power and automation technologies to utility and industry customers, has acquired the business of Vectek Electronics, a New Zealand company offering technology to improve the quality of the power supply in industrial installations.

The business has 73 employees as well as an R&D center in the town of Napier, and will operate as part of ABB’s automation products division. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
