The technology solution to be supplied by ABB will help the new mine to operate at peak energy and increase production efficiency.

The firm’s solution for this project will also help in providing a reliable electrical supply for the mine with less space required for the main substation.

Under the order, ABB will also supply Unigear ZS1 switchgear and space saving water-cooled multi-drive equipment for a smaller substation footprint.

In addition, the company’s delivery will include a 66kV substation, power and distribution transformers, 15 modular pre-fabricated switchrooms equipped with medium-voltage switchgear.

Switzerland-based ABB will provide design, engineering, testing and project commissioning, as well as site services for this project.

ABB Process Automation division head Veli-Matti Reinikkala said, "Our presence in the Australian market is growing as customers continue to embrace ABB’s integrated automation and power solutions to improve the efficiency and productivity of their operations."
