The balance of plant solution includes a132kV substation that will support a 360MW power plant in Haripur, on the outskirts of Dhaka.
Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh, an enterprise of the Bangladesh Power Development Board, is the owner and operator of the plant.
ABB will supply, install and commission the substation, and key equipment to be supplied by the company include gas-insulated switchgear, generator transformer, auxiliary and distribution transformers, generator circuit breakers and medium-voltage switchgear.
Prior to transmission, the substation will step-up the voltage generated at the new gas-fueled combined-cycle thermal power plant.
According to ABB, the project is scheduled for completion in 2013.
