Advanced Battery Technologies (ABAT), a developer, manufacturer and distributor of rechargeable Polymer Lithium-Ion (PLI) batteries and manufacturer of electric vehicles, has secured a $0.35m contract from Italy-based Menzaghi Motors to supply aluminum magnesium alloy electric scooters.
The company conducted an in-depth market survey to develop the aluminum magnesium alloy electric scooter, which has been specifically designed to meet customers’ demand for lighter weight vehicles delivering greater mileage.
The contract, which manifests management’s progress in developing new products and services to meet the needs of customers, will be completed with the delivery of these electric scooters in the fourth quarter 2010.
ABAT CEO Zhiguo Fu said that as the orders for the aluminum magnesium alloy electric scooter increase in the European market, the company will expand its product development and distribution efforts with additional new EVs to meet a growing global demand.
