The Korea National Committee on Large Dams (KNCOLD) has announced that ICOLD's 72nd Annual Meeting will be held in the city of Seoul from 16-21 May 2004.
During the meeting, environmentally sustainable dam construction and management will be discussed with an emphasis on ecological conservation. A variety of study-tour programmes will be organised before and after the meeting to provide participants with opportunities to discover Korea and its dam sites.
An exhibition will also be held as part of the meeting in the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Seoul Convention Hall. More than 800 participants in the field of large dams from approximately 80 countries are expected to attend.
