Headquartered in Nanaimo, BC (Canada), 30-year experienced Inuktun offers robotic systems that bridge the gap between NDT inspectors and the physical world, helping customers see the unseen and safely go beyond physical inspection limitations. The transaction also includes the merge of sister company Crystal Cam Imaging with Inuktun. All in all, Inuktun and Crystal Cam have 75 employees in Nanaimo, Canada and Houston, Texas.

This is the sixth strategic acquisition by Eddyfi Technologies in 32 months. It will benefit the company’s technology portfolio, enlarge its customer base, broaden the possibilities for synergies and product development, while adding talented and world-class NDT inspection experts to the group. Martin Thériault, Eddyfi Technologies president and CEO says: “We are very happy to welcome Colin and the innovative people of Inuktun to Eddyfi Technologies. Their high-quality products, together with their expertise and the standards they established in the industry, further complement our company. We are making a significant bet that the combination of Inuktun robots with our sensors and instruments will meet the increasing needs from asset owners to perform NII (Non-Invasive Inspection) and remove humans from confined space and hazardous areas.”

Colin Dobell, president and chief executive officer at Inuktun Services Ltd adds: “For several years now, we’ve been looking to partner with NDT companies that can help advance the capabilities of our products. This transaction links us with one of the best! Our systems and technology are suitable to many of Eddyfi Technologies’ current customers and the combination of the two companies will strengthen our position as an industry leader and allow us to offer truly unique solutions by combining some of the industry’s best NDT products with our mobile robotic solutions. The future opportunities are seemingly endless. It’s very exciting.’’

The transaction officially moves Inuktun within the Eddyfi Technologies group. Sales and service for Inuktun systems, trainings, product rentals, equipment calibration and repair, as well as support services will now be provided by the enlarged Eddyfi Technologies team. Inuktun Nanaimo will become Eddyfi Technologies Center of Excellence for Robotics. All Inuktun and Crystal Cam staff are joining Eddyfi Technologies. The Inuktun staff in the US is relocating to Eddyfi Technologies’ office in Deer Park, Texas.
