The three sites represent the major claim blocks of the company, which said that the exploration campaign will be carried out till the end of October.

Cobalt Power president & CEO Greig Hutton said: “The company has further solidified its position in the Cobalt Camp with the addition of the Ontario Cobalt properties and is planning an aggressive exploration program to develop targets for continued drilling.

“The goal of the company is to further develop our assets with focused exploration in order to make the company a clear choice for investors looking to participate in the increasing market demand for cobalt.”

Cobalt Power, which holds more than 11,680ha of land in the Cobalt and Silver Center camps of Ontario, said that its claims are contiguous with First Cobalt assets. Further, it said that the claims are located within the “fairway” of the Cobalt Camp, along the trend of the Montreal River Fault and the Cross Lake Fault.

According to the exploration company, the geological setting of the claims shows all of the critical features needed for copper and silver mineralization in the region.

Cobalt Power’s exploration campaign will see a comprehensive helicopter-borne geophysical survey on all its assets in the Cobalt region, including the Ontario Cobalt properties, spread across 2,944ha, which were acquired in February.

The company said that it will specifically target the Silver Eagle Mine property and the McMahon occurrence on the Labine-McMahon claims, which are part of the Montreal Block property.

When it comes to ground, Cobalt Power plans to undertake extensive mapping and sampling surveys. Along with the aerial magnetometer survey, the two surveys are expected to help in developing targets for drilling, said the Canadian cobalt exploration and development company.

In late April, Cobalt Power acquired Western Cobalt which owns nine mineral claims in the eastern Athabasca basin of the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.
