Alfa Laval has bagged an order, worth SEK85m ($9.63m) from an undisclosed Taiwanese engineering company to supply compact heat exchangers to a petrochemical plant located in the US.

The order has a value of approximately SEK 85 million. It is booked in the Welded Heat Exchangers unit of the Energy Division, with deliveries scheduled for 2019.

The order comprises Alfa Laval Compabloc heat exchangers which will be installed in an ethylene glycol plant and used for a variety of process applications, including heat recovery, cooling and heating.

Alfa Laval energy division president Susanne Pahlén Åklundh said: “Here we have another large energy efficiency order in a short period of time.

“The order proves that our customers recognize Alfa Laval’s compact heat exchangers as both reliable and energy efficient.”
