Under the €25m contract, Nexans will supply 150kV single core XLPE underground 3-phase cable system which will connect the substations from RyttergÃ¥rd over Graderup to Fynsværket.
Nexans will also install a second cable system that will connect the Abildskov substation to the Sønderborg substation.
The company will also install three-core 150kV XLPE submarine cables from Jutland in central Denmark to the island of Funen in the east and on to the island of Als in the south.
An additional 132kV submarine cable will also be installed to connect the substation at Rosenfeldt on the island of Zeeland to the Orehoved substation on Falster island.
Nexans will also be responsible for the supply of related accessories for the cables.

The JFK & Storstrømmen project aims to contribute to the country’s national initiative, Cable Action Plan, which intends to move the majority of power cables underground by 2030.
The Cable Action Plan involves installation of 2,900km of new underground power cables and replacement of 3,200km of existing 132kV and 150kV overhead lines.
Nexans will manufacture the cables at its facility in Hanover, Germany and Halden, Norway, and will start the deliveries in March 2016
