The company has already completed geophysics work and the drill program follows the ground geophysics survey and prospecting programs carried out in the fall 2014.
The earlier programs found EM conductors and prioritized prospective, shallow targets near the Clearwater/PLS boundary.
Fission 3.0 operates the Clearwater West project and the company’s technical team leads the field work.
The company is utilizing the ground DC resistivity work to prioritize the drill hole locations.
Drill holes will test the basement resistivity anomalies defined by the recently completed ground IP Resistivity survey, targeting the adjacent conductor axes as refined by the ongoing MLTDEM survey.
Fission 3 COO and chief geologist Ross McElroy said: "Exploration at Clearwater West to date has been very positive and we now have enough data to begin drill testing some of our most prospective, shallow targets, which are located on the eastern side of the property close to the south-east border with Fission Uranium’s ("Fission") PLS property."
Canex Energy has entered into a three-year option to buy up to a 50% stake in Clearwater West. The company plans to invest $5,000,000 of staged exploration expenditures on or before 10 October 2016.
Clearwater West is an early stage exploration project with prospects to hold high-grade uranium mineralization.
