Being built at north of North Keys Road and about 1.25 miles east of Brandywine, Maryland, the combined-cycle natural gas-fired power project was recently acquired by PSEG Power from Genesis Power and an energy-focused private equity fund managed by Ares EIF Management.
Planned to be commissioned in 2018, the facility will connect to the adjacent Potomac Electric Power (PEPCO)/PJM 500kV transmission line.
The project will feature two gas-fired turbines and one steam turbine and will be fired by natural gas.
It will feature two combustion turbine generators (CTGs) equipped with dry, low oxides of nitrogen (NOx) combustors; two heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) with duct burners (DBs); a single condensing steam turbine generator (STG).

PSEG Fossil will be responsible for construction and then operate and maintain the combined-cycle plant.
