va-tech’s take-over of Sulzer Hydro has been approved by the supervisory boards of both groups, as well as the merger control of VA Tech. Closure of the deal is expected during the first week of January 2000.
The business acquired by VA Tech will be active under the trade mark VA Tech Escher Wyss.
Georg Antesberger, a member of the VA Tech managing board said: ‘The acquisition of Sulzer Hydro enables us to meet the requirements of our customers even more effectively than in the past.’
