Ram Vilas Paswan, minister of fertilizer and chemicals of India, “This will be carried out in collaboration with the state government, Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET), industry civic bodies and non-government agencies in a PPP mode.“
Paswan said that the central government had already approved a national program in partnership with United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for technology upgradation of downstream plastic industry, including recycling of plastic wastes.
Paswan has also reported that the government is also intending to establish a high-end testing and certifying centers in partnership with the Bureau of India Standards, CIPET, industry, state government, central department and ministries in PPP mode in large polymer consuming areas.
The minister guaranteed the delegates that the centre will consider the increasing needs of the industry for various testing and quality assurance requirements.
