Brown will also work to develop the company’s appliance recycling business with manufacturers, retailers and other entities that have decided to become partners in the US Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Responsible Appliance Disposal Program.
By using good practices, RAD partners sponsor recycling programs that recover ozone-depleting substances; recycle metals, plastics and glass; and properly dispose of environmentally damaging materials found in unwanted appliances. The URT shredding system surpass the needs for the rate of recovery of ozone-depleting substances and greenhouse gases set by RAD, the Montreal Protocol, Europe’s WEEE Forum, and the United Nations Environmental Program.
