The new 64-bit version is similar to the previous 32-bit version, but gives the designers the option to utilize as much memory as their Windows platform has for the larger designs. The 32-bit version was limited to only 2GB of memory.
We improve our software to take advantage of computer hardware trends that help our users, stated Nicolas Williams, Tanner EDA director of product management. Version 14 doesn’t have memory limits and is optimized for 64-bit computers, so users can work on designs as large as their memory capacity allows and accomplish more in less time.
About the Tanner EDA Tools:
The new Tanner Tools Pro is a software suite for design, layout and verification of analog, mixed-signal, RF and MEMS integrated circuits. It incorporates S-Edit for schematic capture, T-Spice for analog circuit simulation, L-Edit for physical layout and L-Edit Pro for the physical verification.
The new HiPer Silicon builds on capabilities of Tanner Tools Pro with the advanced features that enhance the designer productivity. The capabilities incorporate the HiPer Verify foundry-compatible physical verification engine, Verilog-A simulation and the layout automation.
Tanner EDA is a US-based provider of PC-based electronic design automation (EDA) software solutions.
