Burton has significant experience in business management, government affairs and commercial finance. He has a distinguished and successful career as a businessman and entrepreneur. Throughout his 35 year career, he has developed, built and financed a series of successful enterprises. His endeavors include a broad spectrum of industries including commercial real estate, oil and gas exploration and production, new renewable energy initiatives, aviation operations and corporate finance.
Prior to joining Planet Resource, Burton was a recognized industry leader and nationally renowned developer of large-scale commercial real estate developments and a series of fixed-based operations (FBO) private jet centers in the Southwestern US. Burton has developed such high profile projects such as Zanjero in Glendale, Arizona, anchored by Cabela’s and featuring several nationally branded hotels and restaurants. Burton was instrumental in procuring the relocation and development of the new spring training facility for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox in Arizona and successfully arranged $250 million of commercial financing for the acquisition of a substantial real estate and aviation portfolio primarily in Nevada and Arizona.

In addition to his business acumen, Burton and his family actively participate in non profit endeavors such as the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Phoenix Suns Charities, Arizona Diamondbacks Charities, the I AM Foundation, the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, the Lili Claire Foundation and the Miss America Scholarship Organization.
