The project, GACL’s third with Suzlon, is scheduled for completion and commissioning by end of March, 2010, and will capitalize on the subsequent wind season. The power generated from this project will be wheeled for GACL’s captive consumption.
The project increases GACL’s total wind power capacity to 83.75MW, adding 21MW to the 62.75MW already operational in two wind farms in the Kutch district of Gujarat.
GACL’s existing wind projects have been under the process of registration under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) with UN Framework for Climate Change.
